The farming of Merino sheep is undertaken in some of New Zealand’s most beautiful alpine and sub-alpine grassland areas. Farmers have developed systems that result in the production of high quality Merino fibre without damage to the environment and the continuation of these practices will be encouraged.
The Zque programme requires participants to undertake active positive management to protect and enhance the following aspects of their farm:
